I Wanna Play Too!

Katrina over at Callapidder Days has announced the spring challenge from March 21 to June 21, with the snappy and highly appropriate name of Spring Reading Thing 2007! But in my own little world, I like to think of it as "Tackle the Mountain 2007." Working for a publisher has ensured my neverending supply of books that threaten to topple my bookshelves.

So here's my target list which is bound to grow, since I'm going to another booksale on April 14.
(in no particular order)

1. The Birth House by Ami McKay
2. The Keep by Jennifer Egan
3. The Good Guy by Dean Koontz
4. The World Below by Sue Miller
5. The Wreckage by Michael Crummey
6. The End of the Alphabet by CS Richardson

Is anyone else creeped out by the fact that every book on my list starts with "The?"

*shudder*

On with the reading!

A new Dean Koontz??? I think my list just got longer!! It sounds like a good one. Brother Odd was on my list originally, but I read it a few days ago, so didn't count it. Actually, I had 4 books originally on my list that I read before the start of the challenge.... I hope my list is long enough to keep me busy! I at least know the ones I'm reading with the kids will. take the whole time, maybe a little more.

I'm with Karen -- a new Dean Koontz?! Thanks for letting me know about that one! I think I'll have to pick that one up once I finish up the fiction books I've already listed. I got a kick out "Tackle the Mountain" -- I know just how that feels!

Enjoy your books!

Enjoyed checking out your reading list! You know, I have not read one Dean Koontz book. My daughter keeps telling me I must read one!

I've only read one Dean Koontz and it was so long ago I don't remember it at all. I'll have to check out the new one.

I've never read a Dean Koontz either. I might just have to bite the bullet and give it a try! :v)

Happy reading!

Yeah--books are dangerous--all that toppling over and bookcase bulging.

I love the name of your blog--very clever.

It's so great to see so many of you enthusiastic about a new Koontz book! Yeah, this one's coming out in May, so I'll get a jump on it as soon as I can.

The problem with tackling the mountain of books is that once I've read them, they go back on the bookshelf! Hmm...maybe I should do a little bookcrossing. Better yet, a yard sale so I can make some money to buy more books. ;)

Thanks for stopping by everybody!
